Electricity is mostly generated through the production of biogas. There are a number of things that can be done with electricity to reduce harmful environmental impacts. Combined Heat and Power systems (CHP) can be used to produce both electricity and heat from a single type of energy source, mainly biogas. This system is incredibly efficient. A total of 90% of the energy put into the process is put out in the form of heat or electrical energy. Other process have only one third of the energy put in come out in a useful form.

Benefits
The benefits of renewable electricity are obvious. It is a source of clean renewable energy. Whether from trash to energy or by CHP, electricity can be made from renewable sources efficiently. The environmental impacts are big due to the fact that most of the electricity produced comes from burning fossil fuels.
